A place for creative minds, to live and experience the island life, while getting inspired to make new things and to share them with the local community.
An improbable house that served before as a grocery store and a "tasca" is now an artist retreat, studio and art gallery for Atlantic island lovers, to stay, create and share their work.

A perfect house to do things while experiencing the local island life
Casa improvável is a place for those who want to live and create at the same time. Where the lines between living/creating/exhibiting are blurred into just one.
Here we invite you to create things, but most importantly to live a different life.

A place inside of a place, a house inside of a house.
In the back of the gallery/working space, a tiny house made with wood from Japan, topped with a double bed mattress closer to the clouds.
Private bathroom, kitchenette and secret garden in the back.
Also included is the whole island and the ocean for you to explore.
Our residences are designed for you to stay for a minimum of 1 month (4 weeks), up to a maximum of 3 months (12 weeks).


Example of residencies duration:
One month / 4 weeks (825€)*
Two month / 8 weeks (1600€)*
Three month / 12 weeks (2300€)*

*all residences include fast internet connection, water, electricity and two days of exhibition, with an opening event reception party
